For FedEx Ground ISPs

Excess auto liability, placed above your $1M primary.

Your primary limit $1M Where coverage ends.
Median verdict (ATRI) $1.3M Where exposure begins.

Defense costs can eat through $1M before a settlement is on the table. A verdict above your primary lands on your fleet, your reserves, your home. Turas places the tower that absorbs it.

A specialty wholesale brokerage — excess only, FedEx ISP class only.

Not a retail agent. We work with your current agent, not around them.

Not a carrier. We access specialty excess markets your agent typically can't reach direct.

Not a generalist. The only class we underwrite is yours — step vans under FedEx's DOT, 10 to 200+ units.

AgentYour current retail agent remains the agent of record.
PrimaryYour current primary auto policy and carrier are untouched.
FedExYour certificate holder arrangement with FedEx is unchanged.
TowerAn excess layer above your $1M primary. Typical structure $1M xs $1M. Higher limits available on request.
UnderwritingOperator-level — a 40-point scorecard tied to your actual operation, not FedEx's shared DOT.
CapacityLead carrier partnership with Upland Specialty, finalizing Q4 2026. Additional markets in development.

David Mitchell, Founder

Before Turas, I spent 15 months at Gateway Fleets, selling EV leasing and charging-as-a-service to the same last-mile operators Turas now insures. Before that I co-founded Vertus Wildfire Insurance Services, a specialty MGA acquired by Willis Towers Watson in 2020.

I know this class because I was in your office a year ago, looking at your trucks and your drivers. Turas exists because the specialty-wholesale layer for ISP excess has been too generic for too long — we fix that at the underwriting level, operator by operator.
